Aimed Alliance identified significant deficiencies in a new study by Matrix Global Advisors that aimed to put cost savings ahead of patient safety. The study claimed that Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies (REMS) protocols used to ensure that medications with known and potential severe side effects are used safely, were being misused to block generic drug development.
