CBO Estimates that 24 Million Would Lose Coverage by 2026 Under GOP Health Care Plan

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates that 14 million people would become uninsured next year if the new GOP health care plan was signed into law – a projected loss of about 70 percent of the roughly 20 million people who have gained insurance as a result of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Furthermore, in less than a decade, the CBO estimates that 24 million more people would be uninsured under the GOP health care plan than under the ACA, however average premiums would be about 10 percent lower.
