Insurer Ends Test that Provided Unlimited Primary Care at No Charge

A health insurer is ending a health plan experiment that offered unlimited primary and behavioral care at no charge. Although the insurer will continue to cover individual-market enrollees through the end of the year and serve employer group members through the end of their contracts, they are giving up on value-based initiatives that can both improve access to treatments and lower health care costs.
