Pres. Trump Says He Will Streamline Drug Approvals To Lower Costs

During a White House meeting with pharmaceutical representatives Tuesday, President Trump reiterated his pledge to bring down drug costs through streamlining approval processes, reducing regulations, and introducing more competition and bidding. The President also introduced a potentially radical approach to overhauling the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) by suggesting approving some drugs before they have been proven safe, a departure from FDA current practices.
