The National Women’s Law Center has released a new report showing insurance plans in 15 states violate women’s health coverage requirements in violation of the Affordable Care Act. For example, the Center’s findings indicate insurance plans prohibited coverage of breast pumps, excluded dependents from maternity coverage, or failed to cover all federally approved birth control methods. The goal of the report is to make sure the Affordable Care Act “reaches every woman and every woman gets the full range of benefits required by the law.” To read more on this topic, click here.
